7-day Worry-Free Guarantee

We will not release the kitten/cat if it shows any signs of illness. Given that Owner follows the guidelines (www.furrytailcattery.com/newownerinfo) and immediately reports to us of any observed symptoms, we guarantees the kitten/cat for 7 days from the time of purchase in terms of:

General advice

General advice based on experience will be given by the Breeder in very mild cases, symptoms including slight sneezing, weepy eyes, runny poop, while not affecting eating, drinking and playing, are mostly attributed to stress reaction at new environment and the symptoms should reduce as the kitten settles.

Free vet consultations and treatment

Unlimited free consultations and treatment regarding an illness are provided if the Owner chooses to visit Breeder’s regular vet in Strathfield NSW. The Breeder will make appointment for the Owner under cattery profile to benefit from Breeder discounts and reimburse/cover the costs incurred. If, the Owner lives in other state, the Owner can choose any vet and the 1st consultation fee will be reimbursed in full, while the Owner should seek Breeder’s advice for further tests or on-going treatment. Testing costs incurred maybe reimbursed depending on necessity.

Intensive Care at Cattery

We can take the kitten/cat back to cattery for treatment if it would be the best for all parties. We have more resources, experience, and knowledge in care, can take over if a Furrytail kitten is found to suffer from moderate to severe illness and take care of the kitten/cat until full recovery.

 

Return, Replace and Refund (more in next section)

If the kitten is found to suffer from an untreatable or life-threatening illness. With a medical report from a licensed vet, return, replace and refund policy may apply. The Breeder retains the rights to seek second opinion or take the kitten back for treatment if condition allows.

Return, Replace & Refund

Furrytail kitten/cat can be fully refunded (shipping fee excluded) or replaced with another cat/kitten of equal value:

• if it is found to suffer from an untreatable or life-threatening problem within 7 days after purchase, or

• dies within 7 days after purchase due to any illness, or

• dies within 1 year as a direct result of congenital defects

The Owner with allergy history should get themselves prepared before getting a kitten. However, the Breeder agrees to accept the kitten back and refund if:

• the buyer finds that allergy reactions make it impossible to keep the kitten/cat (doctor letter may be required) within 7 days of purchase, full refund (less $500 admin fee) will be made;

• the kitten/cat is returned to the cattery between 7 to 14 days after the date of purchase, the Breeder will refund $500 only;

• If at any time after the first 14 days the buyer can no longer take care of the kitten/cat, the Breeder agrees to accept the kitten/cat back without an obligation to refund the purchase price.

 

The cat/kitten can NOT be returned and replaced/refunded:

• due to change of minds

• if Owner suspects the health condition of the kitten without any appropriate autopsy/medical report available. Or

• the Breeder is found not liable for the illness based on the autopsy/medical report. Or

• if the 7-day cattery guarantee period expires (Exception: Term 2 congenital defects). Or

• if new Owner fails to seek Breeder’s advice and provide immediate veterinary care (Term 11).

• for the safety of the whole cattery, if the kitten has been exposed to another cat in Owner’s household carrying a contagious illness. The Breeder will need to evaluate the risks and in extreme cases, can refuse to take the kitten back to cattery but needs to fully refund* the kitten if the refund policy applies.

6 Weeks Pet Insurance (more details on request)

Furrytail kittens come with a 6 weeks PetCover insurance, activated on the day they leave us.

We will provide you with a policy number written down in our contract. With minimal excess fee, this insurance can cover up to $3,000 vet bills including emergency consultations.

Guarantees Against Genetic Diseases

​

Furrytail kittens are guaranteed against death as a direct result of a congenital defect. An appropriate autopsy or medical report signed and dated by a licensed vet is required as proof of cause of death.

• The kitten will be replaced/fully refunded if it dies within 1 year old

• The Owner will be offered 50% off for a new kitten if it dies at age 1-4

 

We conduct thorough and practical tests on our breeding cats to mitigate potential issues, yet acknowledge the possibility of unforeseen circumstances. We value feedback from owners regarding any genetic concerns and will carefully assess our breeding plans accordingly. Your feedback and update can help us improve our lines.

Lifetime Consultation

We offer lifetime consultations on various aspects of kitten care, including illness, treatment, daily care, diet, and behavior, all at no additional charge. It's important for owners to understand that the advice provided by us will be general in nature.

For health issues, we can also liaise with our vets to provide you with a general second opinion free of charge.

Discount on Heart Ultrasound

Your Furrytail cat, if over 1 year old, is eligible to participate in our annual heart ultrasound session at a discounted rate. We do not have a set date every year depending on schedule of our vet and the cardiologist, but most likely it is in May-June or Sep-Oct.

Discount on Boarding

We welcome Furrytail graduates to come back for a short stay if the owners go on holiday. However, we strongly recommend owners to consider asking a friend or family for cat sitting as the best choice. Alternatively, daily visits and cleaning by a friend is another option if the absence will be brief (less than a week). For longer periods, we are pleased to offer affordable care for your Furrytail kitten/cat.
